Lancome La Vie Est Belle Perfume - Thoughts

Hey guys and gals! I have been planning to put a video up, but haven't gotten to it yet, and there's a lot of crazy stuff happening in my life right now that has been stopping me from blogging regularly. But I didn't want to leave you hanging today, so I thought I would share my thoughts on a perfume sample I received from my Sephora haul not too long ago.

http://www.extravaganzi.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/La-Vie-est-Belle3.jpg
The perfume is La Vie Est Belle from Lancôme. My initial impression was that it was way too strong and made me smell a bit... old. It did, occasionally, give me a really good whiff of it that I did enjoy. However, I'm the kind of person that sprays about 6 or 7 spritz of perfume just on my torso. So, I decided to give it another try, and sprayed one spritz on my front and one on my back. And now I love it! To me, it smells sweet like candy with a bit of vanilla and coconut with a small floral hint. Kind of reminiscent of Prada Candy L'Eau, which is my all-time favourite right now. Very good for Spring!

From the Lancôme site:

"'La vie est belle', a French expression meaning 'Life is beautiful'; the manifesto of a new era. Universal yet personal, Lancôme’s femininity is a choice embraced by women, not an imposed standard. The choice to live one's life and fill it with beauty. Your own way.

Lancôme has long fostered this conviction, and shares it today with all women in the form of an exceptional creation. The fragrance of joyful femininity and happiness. The fragrance that makes life more beautiful.

La vie est belle introduces a new olfactive story, the first ever tasty iris. The juice is made with the most precious natural ingredients, a modern interpretation of an oriental fragrance with a twist of gourmand. It entwines the elegance of iris with the strength of Patchouli and the sweetness of a gourmand blend; for an incredible scent with depth and complexity."

It runs from $72.00-$110.00 which is pretty reasonably for a lovely perfume. You can purchase it from Sephora here.

My final thoughts are this - if you love a sweet, lovely, feminine scent, definitely give this perfume a chance. Just don't go spritz crazy or your nose might be a little bit too overwhelmed!

Talk to everyone tomorrow! Thank you guys for getting me close to 1000 views and over 100 followers! Love you all :)

January Favourites

Well, today I am going to be talking about my January favourites! Better late than never, I guess! I guess I'll just get right into it! [Disclaimer: I used Google Image Search to obtain all of the images in this post.]

First up in the Rimmel London Just Let It Go Gentle Eye Make Up Remover. I love this stuff! It removes all of my makeup no matter how waterproof or number of coats of mascara. It's not oily at all, and is very much just like water. I haven't tried Bioderma, but from what I have seen of it, I am pretty sure it is quite similar but only $5!

Next is the Clinique Clarifying Lotion 3 toner. To be honest, I haven't ever used a toner before, so I can't compare it to other toners... however, I have been loving this toner, and can't believe I had never used a toner before now! I only got it just recently, but it was love at first use! It's meant for combination to Oily skin.

I also absolutely loved my Batiste Original Dry Shampoo, which I am unfortunately out of now! I think I may try a different variant of the Batiste Dry Shampoo next time, but loved this. It gives your hair extra texture, but also takes away second grease like a charm. Batiste helped me to convert to washing my hair every second day!

One non-beauty favourite Bridget Jones's Diary by Helen Fielding. It's the book I am currently reading, and it's just as great as the movie, if not better! I would definitely recommend it if you need a good girly, feel-good read!

This was one of my favourite mascaras in January. The Revlon Lash Potion by Grow Luscious separates your lashes wonderfully, gives great length, and also gives great volume!

I also loved this mascara which is the Maybelline the Mega Plush Volum' Express. It gives super separated lashes, and super duper long lashes. Definitely my favourite for a glam look, but also a natural every day look!

This is also a product I don't have much experience with, but I am loving my Annabelle Eyebrow Pencil! I've only just started filling in my brows, and this isn't the perfect colour for my eyebrows, but I love this pencil, and it makes my brows look great! It also have a little brush on the lid, so you don't need an unnecessary second tool!

I got this perfume as a sample from Sephora, and I'm in love! This perfume makes me feel so sexy and sensual, and I am hoping to eventually pick up a bottle of the Gucci Guilty Black perfume in the future!

For lips I've been loving the Burt's Bees Replenishing Lip Balm with Pomegranate Oil. I love it, because it's super nourishing on my winter lips, but also as an everyday lip because it has the slightest berry tint to it, which is super natural and easy!

I recently started using the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer again, and I have fallen back in love! It's lovely peachy pink shade as well as it's subtle sparkle leaves your dark circles completely gone, and your eyes nicely awake and bright!

I have been loving this Maybelline Fit Me Bronzer now that my skin has become much much paler due to the lack of UV rays in Northern Ontario this winter. The one I have, which I no longer have the name label for, is a very light bronzer, that is very natural, not orangey at all, and is a pale enough colour that it doesn't look too tan on my pale skin, while still nicely defining my cheek bones!

My second last favourite for the month of January was the Rimmel London BB Cream which I wrote a review on last week, I believe it was. It's perfect for everyday, and is absolutely marvelous on your skin, and super long wearing. Definitely a keeper.

And last but not least is the Rimmel London Wake Me Up foundation! I have been trying to experiment with my other foundations more recently, but I seem to always cave and reach for this one. It makes my skin look flawless, and amazing, and awake, and is definitely my Holy Grail foundation!

Well, that's all! I hope you enjoyed reading this! Since it's currently 2am and I am falling asleep writing this and need to be up for 8am, I will add in links tomorrow, should you be curious about the products!

I just reached 100 followers on Bloglovin, so I wanted to thank all of you, and tell you all that I love every single one of you for even remotely caring about what I write! It makes me feel so happy, and I just can't believe that I am able to share my thoughts on various things to people all across the world! So THANK YOU!

Review: Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoilating Cleanser with Orange Extract

Hello beauties! I'm back and feeling much better! There are still a few issues creeping up into my personal life at the moment, but I love blogging, and owe it to all of you wonderful people to keep posting! This whole beauty community keeps me going! It's so wonderful, and I'm so happy to have stumbled across it!

Anyways, for today, I thought I would review the Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser with Orange Extract that I got from Sephora not too long ago, which I mentioned in a haul previously. To be honest, I wasn't sure what to expect. I hadn't really read many reviews or heard much about the product, but it was fairly inexpensive, and I needed an exfoliating face wash. I knew it wasn't what I wanted 100% as I wanted a rough scrub to scrub off all of the dead skin on my face, but I gave it a whirl anyways.

And, I was pleasantly surprised! I love this little cleanser. It has really fine gritty bits that exfoliate your face amazingly. When I use this, my face afterwards instantly looks and feels amazing, and once topped off with my favourite skin care products, my face feels SO soft. I was correct in that being a gentle exfoliant it wouldn't remove all of the dead skin cells I needed it to, so in the future I will be purchasing a tougher exfoliant, but either way this is fabulous to use.

I only use it once at night, but with proper skin care, you could probably use it more than once a day. It says it's for all skin types, and I believe this to be mostly true. It's gentle enough for dry skin that it won't dry out your skin even more, and also good for oily skin, as over exfoliating and drying out your skin is not necessarily the best step in reducing oil. I have combination skin, and I find that it does wonders to my oily areas, and is still good for my drier areas. However, my dry areas still have a bit of dead skin cells left over which I end up finding when moisturizing my face, and therefore, like I said, I need a bit of a tougher exfoliant. I think it would be perfect for me in the summer, however, when my skin is quite a bit more oily than during the winter!

It has a wonderful orange-y scent, which I absolutely am loving. I also have a few Ole Henrikson products at the moment that also smell orange-y and despite my boyfriend not too keen on kissing an orange, I love the refreshing orange scent, and I'm not normally a citrus scent kind of person!

I definitely recommend picking this up as the size I purchased (1.7 oz) was only $9.00 at Sephora, and you can't go wrong when it comes to a cheap yet good high end product!

Anyways, that's all for today! I am currently in love with Clarins, so I'll leave you with this..

Any other Clarins recommendations? Do you have any exfoliant recommendations?

Love all of you dearly, and I'll talk to you all tomorrow!

Hi guys.

So, it won't be for any more than a week, but I will be on a temporary hiatus because my boyfriend and I broke up this morning and I'm a wreck. I hope you can understand!

New Conditioner!

Hello everyone. Since I failed my first goal of being awake before noon today, I was unable to complete my original post for today. However! You will be getting TWO posts tomorrow, and I thought I would slip in this little post to tide you over :)

So, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to shampoo and conditioner because my hair is very picky - so many shampoos and conditioners have left my hair greasier than when I went into the shower. However, I am almost out of my Tresemme 24HR body conditioner, and so when I was in the store the other day, I quickly scanned the conditioners and found this one, the Pantene Aqua Light Weightless Nourishment Conditioner. I have heard good things about this conditioner in a youtube video, which I can't remember for the life of me, and so I thought I would pick it up. It sounds lovely - and the no-weight claim makes me believe that it won't leave my hair feeling greasy. So! I will let you know how it goes in the future! I'm super excited to try it!

Here are the ingredients and a closer look at the front of the bottle:
